Gaming Oasis Hackathon is a global gaming hackathon, where game industry meet blockchain! We are very excited to co-host this hackathon with Binance Labs, Cocos-BCX, Contentos, Harmony and Matic Network. “We want our mainnet to be useful from day one. Ever since we launched mainnet CelerX, an eSports app that you can win crypto prizes, we see exponential growth in our user base, total games matched and total prizes transferred within the app. Obviously, users are very excited about blockchain games. We can’t wait to see all the games developers build at Game Oasis Hackathon!” Mo Dong, Co-Founder and CEO of Celer Network said.
The Game Oasis Hackathon is designed for all game developers, no blockchain experience is needed. There will be three rounds of competition in total, online and offline. All developers would participate as teams to compete for surprise prizes and the mega winner prizes!
Round 1: Ready Player
In this round, game developers register for the hackathon as a team. Registration starts on August 2, 2019.
Info needed for the registration:
- Team name
- Name and a brief introduction of each team member
- Team lead’s contact info (email/telegram/wechat)

Round 2: Multiverse
In this round, participating teams are required to build games on the requested topic. Developers can choose to build a new game or use the game that they built in the past as long as the game fits the requested topic. Judges will select winning teams to join the off-line hackathon. The deadline for the submission of the game is Sep 2nd 2019, and all winning teams will be announced on September 9, 2019.
- Topic: build a reaction-type or rule-based H5 game, no blockchain technology integration is needed in this round.
- Record and upload the game video to YouTube and submit the link.
- Submit the github link.
Round 3: Oasis Arena
Oasis Arena is a series of on-site hackathons with each lasting for 48 hours. The topic will be related to blockchain gaming. Mentors will be present to provide support on how to integrate blockchain technology with traditional games.
The first stop, “GO Shanghai”, will be hosted in Shanghai, China. Starting from Sept 20 to Sept 22. The Top-3 winning teams will receive ¥30k, ¥20k, and ¥10k in cash as prizes. Teams participating on-site hackathons will have opportunities to meet with well-known investors and discover potential employment opportunities. In addition, participating teams will have a chance to receive hundreds of thousand dollar investment from Binance Labs. Other stops include the United State, South Korean, India and other regions.
