Celer Network has committed $2 million to a cBridge 2.0 bug bounty program on Immunefi! The program is now live following the launch of the cBridge 2.0 mainnet on Nov 17th, with the aim of incentivizing top security researchers and white hat hackers to detect and report vulnerabilities in order to maintain a secure cBridge 2.0 mainnet.
More details about cBridge 2.0 and the bounty program can be found below.
What is cBridge 2.0?
Celer cBridge 2.0 is a multi-chain interoperability system that provides:
- The best-in-class cross-chain token bridging experience with deep liquidity for users;
- Highly efficient liquidity management and straightforward value capture for both cBridge node operators and Liquidity Providers (even those who do not want to operate cBridge nodes);
- Developer-oriented features such as general message bridging for use cases including cross-chain DEX and NFTs.
All of the above is made possible by the Celer State Guardian Network (SGN), a tender-mint PoS blockchain that acts as a messaging fabric interconnecting different blockchains. The SGN operates as a sidechain on Ethereum with staking and governance functionality rooted in Ethereum. $CELR validators and delegators are rewarded in the system via block rewards as well as part of the transaction fees generated by cBridge.
Why are we launching a $2 million bounty program?
We understand that security is a top priority in multi-chain interoperability. Before the launch, we completed our security due diligence of cBridge 2.0 by having three independent smart contract audits, extensive internal cross-team reviews, and implemented several in-system safeguarding features. We believe that a bug bounty program where top security researchers worldwide are incentivized to detect and report vulnerabilities will serve as another important defensive layer for cBridge. Thus, we have committed $2 million to this bug bounty program in collaboration with Immunefi, as it is DeFi’s leading bug bounty platform.
Now, what are the highlights of the program?
The program will be live on 5 pm November 18th (PST) on Immunefi with bounties of up to $2,000,000.
The program is focused on cBridge smart contracts and its web/app. Rewards are distributed according to the impact of underlying exploits and the likelihood of a successful exploit, based on the Immunefi Vulnerability Severity Classification System with two program-specific modifications.
